for raiding purposes, youan tually use your imp, phase him in for buffs, and use him as your stat hog for your bonus spell damage in raiding if you know your pet may eat dirt. Imps will always give you more stats than a felguard simply bause of the blood pt (whh i hope you have improved) and if the boss is a melee killer but a ranged saver youan even have your imp attk alongside you. Away from a raid situation, i would highly rommend FG for PvP. Playedorrtly an oppenentan beompletely iapitated while you do your thing. Whenonfronted with more than one opponent, FG damageoupled with DoT'san seriously worry alothie while you attempt to remove others from the fight. The FG's ability to inteept gives ample time toharge an immolate andoA and Imp.orruption are instaast. Deatoil is waiting to be used, and shadowburn gives your offensive an extra kk. If your target lives through this onslaught, fear him and kite. FG also brings great damage mitigation. 20% damage passed to your FG helps a lk live through rogues stuns and warriorsrits. On top of this he also gives 35 resistae to all hools of mag. The key to the FG sp is stamina. The outlandish amounts of stamina used in a good felguard build help you and him live longer. AND this stamina (plus his intellt divided by something, not sure on-the-spot) add to your spell damage, meaning your spell damagean often beat affltion and destrtion sp's spell damage. AND this spell damage ireases your pets attk power, and dont forget the (maximum) 50% irease in the FG damage through demon frenzy. All of thisan be applied to PvE, espially in normal instaes. The FG is an eellent OT (although lking the HoT ability of a hunters pet), andan be re-summoned in 0.5 ss (this abilityan also beonsidered a form of lk bubble, i.e summoning big blue to s and flee) The FG loses some of his value in heros, mainly the ability to OT. But his damagean never be denied. As has been stated, just keep him alive.
