Subscribe to the BlogFor trinkets you are stuffed tbh, I don't think there are decent badge ones. You'll want the drop off of Moroes (try and convince any warrior you're with that they don't need it as much as you do in advance). Also a badge of tenacity, be prepared to drop a huge wad of cash one one of those, but they can't be beat.
The other trinket option is the commendation of Kael from heroic MgT. If you're an you have other trinket options.
you're right about the cloak not being a huge upgrade, and if you don't need it bypass it for now, but it is the best available so you won't be updating it. The other cheap badge gear is upgradeable via higher level badge gear, since I spent a lot fo tiem in Kara and thats a badgefest, I just bypassed the lower teir and got the better stuff. Your mileage will vary depending on what your guild is doing.
As you logged in your kitty gear I'm not sure which other slots need upgrading or how.

If so your first buy should be the Idol of Terror, since there isn't really any other tanking idol in the game currently and it's only 20 badges.
After that Slikk cloak of Placation is probably best and very difficult to replace. By the time you've got the badges for both of those you should have Earthwarden.
